In our last episode, we met Moses. Moses’s life was in jeopardy from the very beginning. He was born when Pharaoh was trying to kill all the baby boys in Egypt. Ironically, he was adopted by Pharaoh’s daughter when she found him floating in a little ark of a reed basket down the Nile River.
When he grew up, Moses knew he didn’t belong in Pharaoh’s household and he wanted to rescue his people who were enslaved. After he kills an Egyptian who was abusing a Hebrew slave, two Hebrews rejected his efforts, so he ran away to Midian.
But Pharaoh continued to oppress God’s people and they cried out for help. And at the proper time, God set things in motion to free his people.
Today in Exodus chapter 3….Moses encounters God in the wilderness, and God tells Moses that he is coming down to rescue His people and Moses learns he is the man for the job, but he feels inadequate for the task.
